Futons out feel like an awkward game of Tetris, and the low table dining made my legs feel like an overcooked noodle. Who knew sitting on the floor could be a workout?

The kaiseki dinner served in our room was a delightful experience! We especially loved the fresh and artfully presented dishes during breakfast, making each meal a true highlight of our stay. The peaceful setting provided a perfect escape, allowing us to stroll by the canal in our yukatas, feeling completely immersed in the culture.

The ryokan is conveniently located in the charming Bikan Historical Quarter, close to the train station. The accommodations are clean and comfortable, and the private garden was a lovely touch. While the meals were quite delightful, with beautifully presented dishes, the sitting arrangements took some getting used to. Overall, a pleasant and authentic Japanese experience.

The yukatas they gave us were just incredible! Perfect for the photos and felt so authentic. The staff treated us like royalty, bringing us traditional meals that were just bursting with flavor – I mean, the dinner was remarkably delicious, and they even had a private bath for us.
